Answers from benjamin
What's your ideal work environment?
My ideal work environment is one that is honest.
Serious, relaxing, fun, stressful, frustrating, whatever the circumstance may be, answers come to those who function without ego, or lack of one in some cases. Some of the biggest problems I've run into come from assumption, and just general mis-communication. This industry requires people to work closely with each other, and understanding each other is essential to getting to the goal both parties agreed upon. I love to get to know my clients, and learn how they convey ideas....

How would you describe your time at Hollywood Improv/Lesley Wolff?
Completed part 1 of a two night mixer of the Fresh Faces Showcase host by Lesley Wolff. More footage and comedians will be available May 27th, yet the video below was cut for the April 23rd showcase. Just a small "sizzle" to quote Lesley. This video took 4 hours to cut.

How would you describe your time at Nebula, United States of Am...?
I edited and did the post effects on this project which included 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit-style' rotoscoping, numerous chaotic "glitches" and subliminal messages. The ability to flip back and worth between editing and trying out different effect scenarios was very useful. It also refined my skills transferring media between Avid and After Effects.
Effects included drawing out the characters as cartoons, multiple distortion effects, plating a background for disappearing gag, create a dynamic sequence based around music that used 3d elements, video, and particle effects. I also did greenscreen removal on all televisions.
I must note that I did not do any actual character animation on the project, please refer to Adny Angrand. The pilot is due for internet release in June. Up and coming effects include importing final animation and shadowing the rotoscoped characters to feel more "real."

How would you describe your time at Kinybaby (band)?
Banner/band design of skeletons rocking it out at Mardi Gras. Concept by Lance, the lead singer of Kingbaby. The artwork had many stages of development that started with simple black ink on white canvas, then imported in Photoshop to add color and refine inking. From there it was exported in multiple versions to accomdate t-shirt printing (rich requires specific colors and no gradients), banner printers, and web streaming.

How would you describe your time at Los Angeles Film School?
Great (yet crazy stressful) learning experience. Learned a lot of useful things about the film industry, editing and being on set. Editing/Effects teacher knew their stuff. Too bad the administration office didn't know how to run a school. Other than that, peachy.
