Simmons is a highly respected, small, all women's college with a cherished history of visionary thinking and social responsibility. Simmons was voted as one of America's Best Colleges of 2009. Simmons has instilled confidence, strength, and empowerment in me. During my time at Simmons, I worked with real life clients such as the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), whose headquarters was in Washington, for my Advertising classes. My group and I created recruitment marketing campaigns for NCIS. This was a 2 semester long project and at the end, we had to present our campaign to the president of NCIS, dean of Simmons, and to all the Communications Professors. It was a big accomplishment for my team and I, and for Simmons as well. Simmons taught me to be a leader. To lead by thinking, talking and acting about certain issues that are important to the community, my peers and most importantly, to me.
