VP Communications

Fox Broadcasting Company (FBC) is recruiting a VP, Communications. This position will report to the SVP Publicity and is located in Century City, CA.

Responsibilities:

* Act as official spokesperson for FBC
* Act as key liaison and maintain excellent relations with the trade and business press and industry associations
* Prepare and present daily ratings analysis to the press
* Serve as corporate communications liaison among senior management and operational executives
* Provide strategic counsel, exchange information, develop initiatives for and on behalf of senior management
* Generate speeches, talking points, presentations, press releases, public statements, etc on behalf of senior management
* Handle "crisis" communications
* Participate in strategic planning for the corporate brand
* Coordinate with colleagues across divisions of News Corporation as needed

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications or equivalent
* 7+ years' experience leading a corporate communications function, ideally at a television network
* Excellent knowledge of all aspects of the media business
* Proven quality network of relationships with the television trade and business press
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills
* Strategic mindset and business savvy combined with a sense of urgency
* Ability to juggle multiple priorities on tight deadlines and react quickly and effectively in "crisis" situations
* Discrete, calm and composed demeanor
* Good sense of humor
* Team player
