The Beyond the Lights Celebrity Golf Classic is the brain-child of Kyle Chandler and Brad Leland, of NBC's "Friday Night Lights." Proceeds from the tournament will go to Gridiron Heroes and the Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis, two well-respected organizations that seek to improve the lives of those with spinal cord injuries. This was actually three different jobs under the same supervisor. Throughout, I was the University's entertainment industry/filming liaison. Starting as a Filming Coordinator, I familiarized myself with the administrative side of the job and learned every logistical nuance of operating a high-profile event in an urban environment. As Production Manager, I took on the additional responsibility of managing Special Media and PR Events. Ultimately, as Assistant Director of Special Projects, I focused on expanding the University's production capacity and partnering with larger media companies to boost the University's national profile.... read more
