At the dawn of the new millennium as SVP/Creative Development at the original MP3.com, Guy was an early advocate of the .com revolution, adding New Media expertise to his executive profile. At that time MP3.com was the leading online music service provider, and Guy was the Film, Television and Music Business liaison, based in Los Angeles.

His responsibilities included creating and implementing synergistic, netcentric, marketing plans for MP3.com and its' artists. These marketing plans included the A&R and second stage development for the MP3.com's , "Music and Technology Tour", with Alanis Morrisette, Tori Amos, TLC and Christina Aguilera.

Guy was originally hired as Genre Manager for Jazz, World and Classical Music, covering all facets of "genre buildout" and branding for MP3.com artists, including Ezine Publications, Mesageboard Moderation, Online Music Editor, and the complete lexicon of critical music invective.

Guy was responsible for the Creative Direction of the Verve Music Group, with focus on Verve/Forecast, based in NYC. Artists Signed and A&R'd include- Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Chris Botti, Gino Vannelli, Pete Belasco, Jeff Lorber, Art Porter, Roy Hargrove, Incognito, among others.

Guy's artists and A&R Productions achieved an unprecedented 15 #1 Adult Alternative albums in a row. Guy was the Producer of 4 Grammy Winning Records, "The New Standard" and, "Dis Is Da Drum", by Herbie Hancock, "Highlife" by Wayne Shorter, & "Zappa's Universe".

Other accolades include Billboard Magazine and The Gavin Report Label of the year during entire tenure at Verve, (1991-1997).
