How would you describe your time at Merscom?
-- As co-founder of Merscom and Octagon Entertainment, built a game publishing and development company that released over fifty titles; managed a staff of fifteen.
-- As CCO of Merscom, was the force behind two top-5 casual game titles (Blood Ties and Ghost in the Sheet) in 2008.
-- As director of Merscom's retail publishing, formulated and implemented a US retail strategy that placed games in Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City and other major retailers.
-- Initiated and managed the development and launch of Merscom's hit title (reached #1 on multiple charts), Blood Ties, building a relationship with Lifetime Networks, selecting the game's developer and managing the launch.
-- Headed Merscom's efforts to expand into casual game publishing on the major console manufacturer's (Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony) online gaming networks. Responsible for the development of multiple titles on these platforms.
-- As Chief Customer Officer, developed an international licensing and distribution network with 67 partners in 35 countries through an aggressive program of cold calls and trade show participation.
-- Raised a round of institutional investment to expand Merscom's casual game business.
-- Significantly reduced development expense by supervising selection of developers and contractors from Eastern Europe, Russia and Ukraine.
-- Overcame powerful organizational resistance to turn around syndication and representation business from a loss to over $1 million in EBITDA in less than 18 months by formulating a new strategy that increased margins over 300 percent without substantially increasing risk.
