Other than your current job, what other job in the entertainment industry do you dream of doing?

Currently I work for Great American Country TV network; part of the Scripps Network. I am the media administrator; in charge of all of the media that comes in and out of the Avid ISIS system. I am also in charge of the duplication department and the offline library.

How would you describe your time at Great American Country / Sc...?

Manage the digital assets on the Avid ISIS storage system. In charge of the organization and file structure of the Interplay system. Created and administrate the read/write permissions for each editor, producer, and freelancer that accesses the interplay system.

Administrated and organized the SGL tape archive system. Transferred episodes and content from the Avid ISIS to the SGL archive system once the episode aired. Managed the file structure and read/write permissions for the SGL system.

Manage the live ingest into the Avid Airspeed system. Highly familiar with all aspects of the Avid Airspeed system including Airspeed, Pilot, and Flight Plan. In charge of scheduling and organizing freelancers to digitize media into the Avid ISIS storage system. Create projects and set up interplay folders for the media to be digitized into.

In charge of the entire offline media library. Administrate and organize a Nesbit database. Create and administrate read/write permissions for the various users.

In charge of the tape duplication department. Created a duplication form system that was put in place for all employees to use when a duplication is needed either from tape to tape or Avid ISIS to tape.... read more

Post production manager for Accelerative Automotive; a company that does video productions for the automotive industry.

Managed two editors on my post production team. I am in charge of editing the final cut and in composing animation/finishing in After Effects.

Edited a 40 minute documentary on the affects of the internet on the automotive industry. It was edited in Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.

How would you describe your time at Comdata?

Connected remotely to Unix workstations to fix problems and perform maintenance.

Installed and repaired Unix systems in house for our clients.

Answered incoming calls from our client when their ???point of sale??? systems were down. Many of the callers had no computer experience behind them so it was important to be articulate.

Designed a massive database through MySql that stores resumes, job postings, and client information.

Was in charge of all the work stations in the company. I installed the software from the ground up and administrated a database between all the systems through Access.

Created a two web sites: Bilingualsearch.com and Ictnorthamerica.com, both of which are still up. Bilingualsearch.com gets about 30,000 hits per month and is a job search/post web site created with PHP, MySQL, Javascript, and VB.NET. The coding was done by me from the ground up.
