Other than your current job, what other job in the entertainment industry do you dream of doing?

I have worked as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant, Production Assistant, News Assistant, and Rights and Clearances Assistant. I'm looking for something that's hands on... I would love to return to the newsroom setting. Hopefully one day that will lead me a position in Master Control. My "Dream Job"...would be becoming an Executive Director or Technical Director. I WANT TO CALL THE SHOTS, rather than answer the phones and update inventory. I am SO ready to work my way up the Totem Pole. How would you describe your time at Maslow Media Group?

This was an excellent opportunity for me to see the inner workings of a production crewing company. I began my work at MMG as an Administrative Assistant being in contorl of normal office management duties. Yet I was also a Journalist and Editor for the MMG Employee Newsletter. After a couple months of expressing my interest in working in the Production Department I was promoted and began crewing freelancers and independent contractors for companies such as Lehman Brothers, Office of Cable Television, and Dept of Veteran Affairs. This position was very rewarding from beginning to end. I enjoyed working with each client, searching for freelancers in a particular state, booking freelancers, and finally competing all tax and payroll paper work. Besides, it's always a pleasure for the client to write you a short e-mail saying, "Thank You for sending us this person. Their skills and experience was beneficial to the assignment and we plan on using this person in the future."

I would gladly return to the Productrion Department of Maslow Media Group; however, I also look forward to returning to a newsroom where I may have input on future stories, aknowledge and share viewer feedback, and to have the opportunity to sit in or Live Tapes on the News and story edits.
