first- greed. studio big wigs dont want to pay everyone what they deserve- however heavean forbid they not get their severance package despite poor returns. the industry leaders would like to shift all blame and focus to everyone and thing but themselves. hence resources like myspace and youtube are succeeding where the industry fails. second- inbreeding. for the love of god people, look elsewhere but at your next door neighbors for iteas. there are lots of great ideas out there with talented people, but the entertainment elite wont let them in, rather they would steal concepts and try to make them their own. get our of your big ass mansions and froo froo eateries and meet some REAL people who have award winning ideas. third- lack of creativity. insted of dipping in the same well 10 times, how about doing some homework to find a new well. most tv sucks, nearly all movies suck... why? because you make it- fools. its this easy folks.... prospect for creative think tanks. get those people who are nobodys with great ideas together, throw them into a room for a week... and let the magic happen. this isnt new studio head morons, the advertising industry has been doing it this way for decades. this is why a commercial on tv can more often than not be more intresting than the stupid showss you put on. i mean come on, really? do we need another incarnation of deadliest catch? and will someone tell o'reilly to stop taking himself so seriously- the ass actually thinks he is a journalist- YOU ARE AN ENTERTAINER. how many craft and cooking shows can we all handel? and will someone please put family fued out of its misery! THINK people.... what ever it tiz you are doing is not and has not worked for a while. for every great american idol concept, there are a million lame shows.... stop giving your cronies jobs and greenlighting moronic ideas that even look bad on paper. the stuff doesnt get better once you pour a million into it.
