How would you describe your time at The New York New Jersey Min...?
Working here at The New York/New Jersey Minority Purchasing Council was a blessing. Being involved in a grass roots non profit organization was very beneficial in the sense that it was very rewarding in helping the underdog. The NY/NJ Minority Purchasing Council taught me how to fund raise, get involved with the board of directors and handle their monthly meeting from soup to nuts. This council was put in place in the early 70's by concerned minorities business owners when they felt they weren't getting their fair share as far as purchasing power in America. The president of the company was a joy to work for, I was her right hand and we worked really well together. I got involved in Event Planning and Marketing to try to gain yearly funds to keep our business a float....

How would you describe your time at Forever Young/Traynor Cosme...?
Being able to work and assist the iconic make up artist Mark Traynor was one of the highlights of my life. Mark Traynor was responsible for creating the looks of such people as Farrah Fawcett, Bridget Bardot, Joan Rivers & many, many others. He is the author of the ground breaking "Beauty Book" where he gave away his secrets on make up application. I was their company speaker at trade shows around the US and assisted the VP of Sales as far as catalog target projection and forecasting on how we can increase the important numbers. Also handled a team of Customer Service Reps, that took calls 24/7 on our incoming order line for our make up sold out of our catalog that went out to 800.000 each month....

How would you describe your time at parsons school of design?
Attending Parson School of Design was an honor for me. Going to school in the village of NYC was great, there were so many things to do and learn in and out of school. I majored in Metal/Jewelry Design under the Product Design Department at Parsons and minored in Vocal Performance at Eugene Lang & Antique Conniseurship @ The New School. I was on the Deans List for 2 years straight and I'm happy to say my critiques were always constructive. I really focused on drawing and mastered Jewelry Rendering nicely. I now design on a freelance basis in watercolor and guache. It was wonderful to be able to be taught by some amazing teachers such as Lynn Shapiro, Esther Cohen, Rolando Negotia & Pat Mackie....
