Other than your current job, what other job in the entertainment industry do you dream of doing?

Currently I'm a contributing writer for a major newspaper in Orange County but in the near future I plan to put my creative side to work and begin working on a screenplay.

As a reporter I research stories and report on current issuesor human interest stories within the community. I do all my own photography. And each week I submit a Q and A or story for print.

I did a multitude of activities. I worked on live shots, conducted interviews. I accompanied reporters on assignments, researched stories and composed questions for interviews. I also composed traffic reports and worked the assignment desk.

I started out at Chapman interested in studing Polisci but once I took a course in the film and television dept I got hooked and turned my focus to learning about the industry.

While at Chapman I had a great time learning the many modes of media. I studied film and television but ultimately decided to concentrate on broadcast journalism. I do regret not taking a course on screenwriting.
