Other than your current job, what other job in the entertainment industry do you dream of doing?

I have always dreamed of working in the entertainment industry. Growing up in Los Angeles, with a father who is the senior-editor at a prominent news network, I was always enthralled with the industry. I love the way it communicates with millions of people, and have always sought after the ability to effectively achieve that kind of global communication, which holds within itself the potential to change lives. As I grew older, I realized that my love of entertainment (especially broadcast media) and my exceptional communication skills would be a perfect match for a career in marketing/publicity/public relations. My dream job in the industry would be one where I was in charge of creating visual marketing strategies that directly communicate to the people who would be most impacted by them, to oversee the creation of these campaigns, and to have an active role in artistic development to maintain my first love of the visual arts. In my dream job, I would be able to combine my artistic skills, my art historical knowledge, my love of entertainment, and my desire to successfully communicate with a wide range of demographics from different backgrounds, world views, and geographic locations.... read more

How would you describe your time at Tumbleweed Day Camp?

I really had free range in terms of program development during my time at this Brentwood day camp. I worked openly with camp directors and the staff to organize and implement a new plan for weekly crafts projects, and was responsible for coming up with new ideas as well as taking weekly inventory and submitting an order for any needed materials. During the day I instructed campers, interacted and coordinated activities with other staff members, fielded questions from parents, and made sure everything was running smoothly. Additionally, I was also responsible for transportation, which entailed coordinating routes, contacting parents weekly to advise them of schedule changes, and keeping in constant contact with both the parents and the camp directors.... read more

How would you describe your time at Satsuma Gallery?

I encountered many challenges during my time at Satsuma Gallery due to my lack of pertinent experience in publicity and public relations, but I rose to the challenge and developed a marketing strategy for the gallery from scratch. This campaign included brochures, media contacts, business cards, establishing relationships with private clients and interior design firms, and a website for Richard Doran, one of the featured artists at the gallery. I created and maintained a database for past and present customers, which led to regular mailings alerting interested parties in gallery events. I also really enjoyed the one-on-one contact with customers, and got the opportunity to interact with gallery patrons throughout the day.... read more

I also dedicated myself to finding multiple solutions to a problem, and enjoy challenging myself to find the one that most effectively communicates the intended message, always carefully considering the consequences of each choice made.... read more
