What was your first Job in Entertainment?

Having always loved movies, I took a job for $4.25 as an usher at the AMC Merritt 6 South. Stuck with AMC for 9 years after as I went through school, because they were always willing to provide more to learn. You could see marketing campaigns through the eyes of the target customers, and eventually one would get a sense of what would work and what wouldn't. How would you describe your time at THINKFilm?

For select THINKFilm titles, including some service deals and some straight acquisitions, I was responsible for everything from the time we acquired the film until the last theatrical booking. This included marketing, materials, publicity and PR, accounting, budgeting, theater sales, and more.

In addition to programming and supervising the ImaginAsian Theater, I created a model for ImaginAsian Pictures, eventually acquiring, marketing, booking, and running all aspects of a rolling release that grossed over $700,000, nearly 7 times the total of the MG and P&A spend combined.
