I learned not to always expect someone to please and notice you, but that you must be open to first acknowledging others and be willing to be open to their best interest too.

How did you find your job at The Walt Disney Company?

I grew up in the area. When I was in high school I applied for a job in Foods at the Disneyland Resort. Less than a year later I found myself transferring to the wonderful world of Entertainment, where I worked in the Character Department as a performer, and later as a department Lead until June of 2006. In this role I was responsible for building budgets, tracking spend, computing and researching variances between plan and actuals, performing ad hoc requests, monitoring commitments, processing journal entries, and working with multiple departments to asure we put forth the best shows possible in our parks.

I have been with the resort for nearly six years, and while I am sad to leave this place I am very excited to apply my education and work experience in a field I have always been passionate about: entertainment.
