Experiences at New Line Cinema

I did an internship with a publicity firm, Terry Hines & Associates, in San Francisco during my senior year of college at San Francisco State University. After the internship, the firm offered me a job, which I turned down to an internship in the story department at Phoenix Pictures. I was contacted by the coordinator of the internship in San Francisco, telling me there was a job opening at New Line Cinema, in the field publicity department. I applied for it, with her recommendation on my resume.

I went in for an interview with Gillian Fischer, VP of Field Publicity, who then hired me a couple days later....

It's a fun place to work,but beware of the office politics. It's a boy's club there, and the women who succeed need to be whip-smart, fierce and determined.

I was lucky enough to find a temp gig in the business affairs department for one day. It went so well, that I was asked back to be the assistant to a new hire.

I was a senior at Kean University in New Jersey and attended an Internship fair. I applied as an intern in the Television Marketing Dept., and got the internship of a life time. I thoroughly enjoyed interning at New Line, I made sure to make the most of the two days a week that I was here. I finished college on May 15th 2007, and was hired full time on May 21st, 2007 as an Assistant to the EVP, VP and Executive Director in the Home Entertainment Dept....
