New outlets for entertainment. We need to understand how to take advantage of the constant stream of new methods of reaching our audiences without abandoning a vast segment of the population who will still receive their entertainment and information in a traditional way.
The Economy. Traditionally when times become economically hard, the Entertainment industry flourishes because it provides some escape from day to day problems. This can still be the case if entertainment is provided economically.
Instant Gratification. Too much emphasis is put on opening weekend grosses or early ratings. This doesn't allow an entertainment product time to find its audience. A more measured approach in releasing and marketing these products could allow for a greater acceptance in the marketplace over a more extended time period
