Global politics, the exponential public interest in the common celebrity and the instability of young 'hollywood'. The great thing about the world today it the outlet we've created within the entertainment industry to create social awareness of things going on around the world. Now, more than ever, we are more in tuned with the struggles, successes, tragedies and politics going around in worlds other than the ones we live in. It has been instigated by the worser part of the outlet which is a high level of interest in the common celebrity. As the industry of gossip expands, the quality of the industry declines and the quantity increases. Also, being a member of the early twenties club, it pains me to say that the image of the younger society deteriorates as our public interests hone in on the failing troubles of the younger hollywood generation. We have some good ones out there, but the struggling ones get more attention and I'm not particularly sure how long it will be before they become uninteresting or self-sustaining.
