Cassie's Answer

My first job in the industry was for KUSI TV in San Diego. I was fresh out of college with an internship at MTV under my belt, but besides that, I had no experience. I always knew I was destined to be in the entertainment industry because it was a passion of mine for such a long time. I decided to look up all the local television stations in the area. I began sending my resume to the HR departments, but quickly found out that my resume was in a shuffle of thousands. I then decided to send my resume to the News Director at the station. To my surprise he called me the next day and said he had to meet this person who had the drive to send my resume directly to him. After a great interview I landed my dream job at the bottom of the ladder and worked my way up within 2 years. Today , after producing at KUSI TV, I walked away with some amazing experience and a thirst for more.
